
- How do I arrange a visit to the facility? Please call Jill Hendrickson at 919-832-6866 at extension 103 or Wendy Lapish at extension 101 or you may e-mail them at jhendrickson@nc.rr.com or wendylapish@nc.rr.com.
- What is the maximum capacity of the facility and grounds? The legal capacity of the main house is XXX. The grounds can accommodate another XXX people.
- Is there a deposit required to secure a date? What happens if we have to cancel the event? When do we have to pay the balance?
- There is a non-refundable 30% deposit required to secure a weekend date (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
- There is a non-refundable 20% deposit required to secure a weekday date (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday).
- If a weekday date is changed rather than canceled, the deposit will apply to the new date.
- Event balances are due 30 days prior to the event.
- May we use our own caterer or do we have to use one of Bennett BunnĂs caterers? Bennett Bunn maintains a list of approved caterers and other vendors. These caterers and other vendors are familiar with the main house, cottage, and grounds and will ensure that your event is a success.
- Does the rental price include items, such as tents, banquet tables, linens, china, glassware, etc.? No. These items can be obtained through our approved caterers and vendors, usually at a discounted price.
- May we serve alcoholic beverages? Yes, you may have a full open bar, but you must obtain a permit.
- Who is responsible for cleaning up the facility and grounds? Is there an additional charge for clean up? You are responsible for leaving the facility and grounds exactly as you found them. There is a $500 refundable clean-up deposit.
- What happens if something at Bennett Bunn is accidentally broken? Bennett Bunn Plantation is a historic site with irreplaceable antiques, collectibles, and features. The renter is liable for any breakage or damage to Bennett Bunn Plantation caused by the renter, his/her employees, agents, or guests. Bennett Bunn repre sentatives will provide you with an inventory of antiques and collectibles at contract signing. Many of these antiques and collectibles are available for purchase. The renter will purchase any broken or damaged item at the price listed on the inventory sheet.
- Are there any special or significant decorating restrictions regarding the use of the facility and grounds? Again, Bennett Bunn Plantation is a historic site with irreplaceable antiques, collectibles, and features. You must obtain prior approval before moving any collectible, accessories, or furniture in the house. In addition, you may not hang anything on th e walls, windows, doors, woodwork or fixtures.
- As renters do we have to obtain any insurance? Insurance is not required. However, the renter or caterer must have DRAM shop liquor liability insurance if alcoholic beverages are to be served. The renter may also wish to obtain insurance to cover damages or liability.
- Where do guests park and how many vehicles can park at the site? Guests enter the main driveway and follow directional signs to park behind the main house. There is space for approximately XX vehicles.

- Will a Bennett Bunn representative be onsite during our event?
Yes, a Bennett Bunn event coordinator will be assigned to you upon contract signing. The event coordinator will be onsite during all set-up, event activities, and take-down and clean-up. In addition, you will be asked to designate a representative to co mmunicate with the event coordinator. This is usually a member of the catering staff.
